Albino Builders Ltd was formed in 1976 when Alesandro Guidi, a qualified builder and bricklayer joined forces with his father Giuseppe. The partnership was strengthened in 1979 when Alesandro’s brother Tony joined the company to further reinforce the team. Sadly Giuseppe died in the early 1980’s leaving Alesandro & Tony to continue to grow the business.
The company originally started operating out of a small depot on the Anglo Trading Estate in Shepton Mallet, with the last and longest serving premises being in Drill Hall Lane, Shepton Mallet. Due to the company growing considerably over recent years it has meant that its needs had outgrown the buildings at Drill Hall Lane, so Alesandro & Tony commissioned a new purpose built office and store in Downside near Shepton Mallet.
In addition to the development above, a new specialist workshop for the manufacture of purpose-made joinery from sash windows through to bespoke kitchens was commissioned. We are proud of constantly achieving high levels of craftsmanship and finish, as well as working within tight lead times when necessary.
The company is proud of still being a family run company, employing family members. The culture instilled from Alesandro and Tony has been transferred to the next generation ensuring that everybody is focused on its core strengths of delivering the same excellent personal first class service that it set out to do over forty years ago.
